ALVASARA is a design and construction company based in Jakarta which focuses on architectural design, interior design, and integrated design for master plan. We believe that each project is unique from synthesis of clients, cultures, and climatic conditions.
The company is a brainchild from both founder’s previous architectural career, Gigih Nalendra, founder and designer of ALVASARA, graduated from Institute Technology of Bandung Indonesia (ITB) in 2010. He pursued his career in Casey Brown Architecture Sydney in 2009, then WOHA Singapore from 2010 to 2012. He has been involved in major projects throughout Singapore, India, Indonesia and Australia including Alila Resort Bintan and New Cuffe Parade Mumbai.
Nadia Vashti Lasrindy, founder and designer of ALVASARA graduated from Institute Technology of Bandung Indonesia (ITB) in 2010. She pursued her career in Singapore based company, Envirotec, from 2010 to 2013. She involved in many large scale projects including the well known Beachwalk shopping centre and Sahid Kuta Lifestyle in Bali.
The vision for sustainable development evolved when both partner undergo master course in University of Nottingham UK. Gigih received his Master of Science (MSc) in Renewable Energy and Architecture, and Nadia received her Master Architecture (MArch) in Environmental Design with distinction. The collaboration in the study has also brought them won the international design competition held in London and Bucharest.
Environmental principles have always been fundamental to the work of the practice, together with cost and economic aspect of the building; they are promoting architecture as a passive way controlling climate to improve the quality of living.
